For those not in our area - we had a real treat recently. We got 5 inches of snow last weekend and it was great - the snow was dry and crunched when you walked on it not like the usual ice coated slick topped mess we normally receive. And b/c we live where we do these 5 inches shut everything down - it happened on Saturday and shut schools down in many counties for 3 whole days! Brent's services were even cancelled so we had a weekend at home as a family which was the real treat. What a wonder and hush the snow laid over the land - it was so pretty. These pics are a little out of order but I put my favorite at top. Although on the first day we only spent a few minutes outside - the next day we just let Hannah lead us where she wanted to explore and she walked through the woods and around the local market and just kept going - we spent quite a bit of time outside this go round.
So you can see we got about 5 inches - this was on the deck table.
Here is pink cheeked Hannah - she spent about 30 min out on the first day - getting acquainted with the snow - she really did enjoy herself. And we are thankful for the snowsuit our friends the Seusers passed on!
We have a dirt hill close to our house - lots of dump trucks dropped this fill dirt last summer and it made a great sledding hill for us - and no one else seemed to notice this so it was great! It was a quick ride - so quick that the first time I tried it I ended up sliding off the back of the hill :)
This is pretty much how Sam spent all of our snow outings - snuggled in the Ergo carrier - most of the time asleep :) next year - hopefully we will have another snow and he will play a more active role.
This was the first snow man we attempted -the snow wasn't great packing on the first day -
How cute is she! And so fashionable thanks to her Nonni (dress was a Christmas present) and her friend Caroline who loaned her the cute boots!
So Brent and I (mostly Brent) built a great snowman for Hannah - she thought it was cool until we wanted her to pose with him - she wouldn't get closer than 5 ft :) But HopHop perched on his shoulder :)
