Halloween

Halloween this year was a lot of fun! It was actually spread over a weekend which was fun. We started on Friday evening with a trip to a local community festival - it wasn't the best for kids the ages of Hannah and Sam but they had a playground so the kids enjoyed their time! Saturday we took a break from Halloween and sent to help Nonni and Opa move their big furniture pieces to from their old house to their house - I proved that I can certainly help out - Nonni watched the kids and we got it done. It was a sight to see - Opa driving his tractor pulling us down the driveway on a trailer full of furniture to their new house :)
Then on Sunday - Oct 31 - we had more fun! When Brent got home we headed to a local church's trunk-or-treat with the kids - to just give them an experience - we didn't pick up much candy but the kids had fun. At this community event there is also an annual tradition of pumpkin carving during the day that is then displayed at night lining a bridge - such intricate designs!
Hannah enjoyed her costume and I enjoyed making it for her - you may not be able to see her whiskers but she wanted them to be purple - her favorite color.
She learned the way of the trunk or treat pretty quickly.
It was past their bedtime by this point - but Sam was a good sport.
