December happenings

These are some from Christmas morning - so cute! Sam really didn't want anything to do with opening presents - he was happy with his own toys until he discovered them later.
Hannah on the other hand loved her dressup clothes - especially her butterfly wings :)
Earlier in the month - a fun craft that Daddy did with the kids while I was finishing up some shopping.
This boy can move - while cleaning out our office space he found his way into a just-emptied box.

Took this picture for Brent since he rarely gets to see Hannah dressed up for church - the hair didn't last b/c Hannah wanted to "see what color" her hair band was but it was pretty in this picture :)

Although they don't look like they weren't thrilled they were bundled for the cold day and did enjoy themeselves once the parade kicked off. The funny thing about this parade is that it was a lot like Halloween for a lots of the kids along the way - they walked away with bags of candy from all the sweets that were tossed - we are fortunate that Hannah doesn't really know what candy is yet so she didn't really care about what was being tossed - but next year may be a different story.
Hannah loves this hat that was passed on from her cousin Avery.
Hannah's favorite part was the marching band until she saw this purple truck.

We met up with some friends for the parade - all pairs of kids are about the same ages as Hannah and Sam.

After we got home we enjoyed some hot cocoa - Hannah really enjoyed hers :)We were blessed with a lite snow shower in early December - while walking in it Hannah proclaimed "This is the biggest snow of my whole life" Oh how memories fade - she doesn't remember the 5 inches we received in Jan :) She certainly enjoyed this snow - especially tasting it.
Sam also enjoyed it although the coat he was wearing made it a bit of a challenge to walk around.

Hannah practicing her writing - she enjoys our chalkboard and writing her H - her other attempts at letters aren't as clear yet - such a fun time.
Brent has had his creative juices flowing lately and has written a couple of songs and arrangements. He and his band worked out a reggae (yes you read that correctly) version of O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Hannah loved dancing to it as you can see. Watch out for a YouTube post soon :) of the band, not Hannah - that's what I hear anyway from Brent.
