Chillin' in January

So far January has proven to be a time just to spend as much time as we can with the family! We recently had a snow day b/c of some ice that fell - it was nice to have an unexpected day at home but a bummer b/c it was ice and we couldn't go outside and play.
I also recently discovered (thanks Laura!) that there is a way I can turn this blog into a book(s) - very excited about this as this is my baby book. We could publish a book a year or maybe 1 for each child - a way to turn this into a hold in your hands product.
This picture below is for a dear friend Leslie (and faithful blog reader and commenter) - she made Hannah a couple of hair bows for Christmas and Hannah is looking oh so cute wearing one here. Hannah is also wearing a favorite jogging suit from Aunt Wendy.
Talk about chillin' - Sam loves hats and anything he can put on his head - he loves these sunglasses!

One our christmas presents to the kids was a real harmonica - they love it! And no matter how hard they blow it still produces a nice sound - the recorders they also play with can be a bit shrill ;) at times. Any way we can give the opportunities to play music we love.
And what would be better than a harmonica in the mouth and the sunglasses on the head.
Another friend passed these boots on and although they are a bit big Sam loves wearing his muck-muck boots.
We love reading and Hannah LOVES being read to as you know. Hannah loves letters - today in Tumblin Tots she led the class in saying their ABCs. She is constantly asking what various letters and words she sees spell - such as what does S-H-E-R-I-F-F spell as we passed a sheriff's car. Or how do you spell moon and sunshine etc. Love her passion for words.

This was just the other night and I thought it was so precious - pay attention to Sam - he was "reading" his own book.
I love this! He was so serious.
