New Kitties

We have missed having furry creatures in our lives since Momma Kitty passed away last spring. Brent and I figured after we got settled we would pursue 1 or 2 furry friends. Our friend Lisa turned us onto Ragdoll kitties for being so good with kids. In the process of investigating I posted to a local mom's group and was connected with the inlaws of a local mom who were trying to place 2 Raggamuffin kitties. They watched their grandchild and he was allergic to kitties. So long story short we welcomed 2 kitties into our house yesterday and are enjoying getting to know them! And they are not small kitties! BeeBop (5yo) pictured below weighed in at 25 lbs the day before he came to us - that is almost as much as Sam weighs! What doesn't come through in the pictures are his eyes - they are a beautiful blue. Their owner had them cut in a lions cut that - although neither Brent nor I have had a cat groomed - we might continue through the summer to help with the heat.
BeeBop's older sister is Missy (6yo) who is less than 1/2 the size of her brother.

Both are incredibly sweet! They are declawed and will be kept inside for that reason and b/c we live on a busier street. They have been taking it easy with introductions - choosing to hide most of the time the kids are awake. Who could blame them - the kids are very excited to have these pets and find it hard to contain their enthusiasm. But when they are out and about the kitties are super tolerant - as you can tell from the pictures below. Of course I told Sam "no you can't ride BeeBop like a horse" even though the cat is the size of a not-so-small dog.
Can you get the scale of this cat?!?!?
The previous owner said they didn't have many toys - that they just liked to be pet and play with balls but we had to introduce them to the feather and they quickly found an appreciation of it :)
We are excited to continue to get to know these precious kitties.
