Sam-isms

Sam is quote the verbal child, and always has been. He is very specific with his words and diction. He often corrects our pronunciation of dinosaur names - down to the syllable and is often right. He corrects our grammar - whether singular vs plural or correct pronoun use and again is often correct. He is also quite clever, sometimes to his detriment. One such example happened last week at preschool. I warned his teachers that he doesn't like to write or draw what you want him to. One of his teachers seems to be a stubborn kind that was determined to have him follow the directions. She shared that one day when she was trying to get him to write something he said he didn't want to. AFter a couple more tries Sam replied that "Jesus told him he didn't have to". LOL! Well the teacher said she didn't know what to say to that. Although I think his reply was hilarious and very cunningly thoughtful, I am also recognize this means we are in trouble. This is not something we have said nor is it something he has said before. We do talk about what Jesus, God and the Bible tell us as far as right and wrong and his commandments. We will certainly need to keep an eye on him, that is for sure.
