The wedding

Saturday was the wedding, the reason we came to San Francisco. We woke up and fed the kids a little something to tide them over until we headed out for breakfast. Brent went up the Bernal Heights hill and took some fantastic shots of the city. We then headed out to the Bernal Star for breakfast with Wendy and Michael. So good to visit with them! And a double treat b/c they treated us to breakfast. The kids had cinnamon french toast. Brent had a yummy salmon quiche and I had a yummy veggie omelette. They also had yummy beignets that are french donuts but seemed more like churros that were made into a circle. After breakfast we headed over to yet another great playground to let the kids play. We met Laura with Molly which was also fun. After dropping Molly off at the house we headed home to get ready for the wedding of Andrew and Val. We enjoyed a very scenic drive South to the wedding site while the kids slept.
The wedding was a fantastic experience! The venue was gorgeous and set up for the ceremony outside. There was a rope swing on site. Their colors were yellow and brown to compliment nature. The officiant had made the groom's and groomsmen's vests. The ceremony was touching and kids enjoyed it as well. Afterward there was a huge lawn with some games set out. WE added our frisbee and Laura added a soccer ball. The officiant also works in a local children's zoo and knows how to entertain kids of all ages. She brought lots of hula hoops and a special bubble making concoction that made gigantic bubbles. Many played and many chatted and a good times as had by all. The dinner was yummy and I hear the toasts were touching. By that point the kids needed to run off some energy so I watched them so as not to distract.  Then there was more game playing and fun dancing. Sam was quite the little gentleman with Molly - they had a grand time! Hannah also had lots of fun. Really everyone seemed to have a  grand time - so happy Val is officially a part of the family and hope they both have happy memories of a fun day.
